Fabulous kutani painted porcelain vases in satsuma style. One has gods and a dragon, and the other has a tiger and gods. Very very finely painted and both are marked on the bases. There is some expected gilt wear mostly around the rims, and one vase has a pottery firing dot that looks like it popped off when fired....very small and as photographed as they adeptly painted a small green fan over it....otherwise there are no chips, cracks or repairs. These measure just under a foot tall at about 11 5/8" tall and about 5 1/2" diameter. These date to the late 19th century and are great for display.
