Great iridescent French miniature pottery cabinet vase that reminds me of Clement Massier, but with a Victorian flair. Fabulous displayable condition and extremely high quality.
I was told this was Japanese and dates to the Meiji era. Very fine hand decorated brass jar with round impressed decorations. Measures about 5" tall and 4 7/8" diameter.
Fantastic gilt and sterling decorations....very very fine tree with super fine gilt leaves and sterling flowers underneath, clouds along the shoulder, the top and bottom rims are sterling and again decorations with Japanese motifs scrollwork etc.
Dated "VII" and impressed mold number 1171. Hand thrown and detailed and is not a production piece....very large measuring 10 1/2" tall and 7" diameter across the top opening.
This dates to c1820 or so and is treen and horn lined interior, with exterior penwork. Lid opens and closes. My visible inspection looks like some of the thin veneer(horn?) has wear as you might expect, some age wear to lid edge......
Top quality Edith Heath ceramic plate that measures about 9 3/8" diameter, and is very heavy. Glaze is thick and layered with rose under green/raspberry. Landscape patterned after sand dunes. Excellent condition with just utensil rubs as photographed.
